About

I help people close the gap between what they say matters and how they actually operate.

I’m Brandon K. Reed, a healthcare technology leader, speaker, facilitator, and creator of ALIGN Leadership Lab. I spend my day job designing structure for complex organizations. I spend my own time helping people examine what’s actually driving their decisions.

ALIGN Leadership Lab is where that comes together: a 90-minute facilitated session where people pause, look honestly at their direction, and leave with one commitment — not a folder of notes.

Background

My professional work has centered on healthcare technology, from large-scale Epic implementations and enterprise application ownership to the optimization and adoption work that continues long after go-live.

Working across technical teams, operational leaders, and frontline stakeholders taught me that technology rarely succeeds or fails on its own. Outcomes depend on whether people have the clarity, ownership, and support required to move the work forward. Leading teams and cross-functional programs through implementation, organizational change, and shifting priorities strengthened my interest in what helps people navigate complexity and translate ideas into action.

Across those experiences, I began noticing a broader pattern: responsibility often grows faster than the space available to reflect. People can become more accomplished and carry more influence without stopping to examine what is shaping their decisions, priorities, and leadership.

That observation became the foundation for ALIGN Leadership Lab, a structured experience that helps people reflect on their current direction, identify the gap between what matters to them and how they are operating, and commit to purposeful action.

My leadership philosophy

CARE — Clarity. Accountability. Respect. Excellence.

C

Clarity creates alignment

People do their best work when they understand what matters, where they are going, and what is expected.

A

Accountability creates trust

Trust grows when people take ownership, follow through, and uphold standards in the work.

R

Respect creates safety and dignity

Healthy cultures are built when people are treated with professionalism, fairness, and dignity.

E

Excellence creates strong performance

High standards, consistency, and care in the work lead to stronger teams and better outcomes.

My leadership philosophy is rooted in clarity, accountability, respect, and excellence. I believe leaders are responsible for creating environments where people understand what matters, take ownership, treat others with dignity, and pursue high standards in the work.

CARE is both my leadership philosophy and my way of contributing to healthy team culture now. Even without formal authority, I can create clarity, model accountability, treat people with respect, and pursue excellence in how I work and collaborate.

Beyond the work

I am a husband and a father first, and most of what I have learned about stewardship I learned at home rather than in a conference room. I am a lifelong learner by temperament — reading, writing early in the morning, and revising my own thinking more often than is comfortable.

I am also a person of faith, which shapes how I think about formation: we are always being made into something by our habits, our relationships, and our environments. That conviction sits under both Morning Reed and ALIGN, without either one asking anyone to share it.

Lead with purpose — not because purpose is inspiring, but because it is the only thing that holds when the season gets hard.

Work with me

ALIGN is delivered to organizations; Morning Reed is open to anyone.
